Virtual Guest Speaker or Expert Agreement *with Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (DEI) Language

Bringing in a virtual guest expert or speaker to your online event, course, or membership is a great way to add more value and attract more attendees, students, or members. Using the Virtual Guest Speaker or Expert Agreement is a best practice for any creator or guest speaker/expert who wants to be clear about how they work, answering questions like:

• Is the speaker required to appear live or can the presentation be pre-recorded?
• Will the speaker or the host own any recordings of the speaker’s presentation and how can recordings be used?
• Can the host request a refund, or remove the speaker’s content, if the speaker engages in behavior or speech that is offensive prior to or during the speaker’s presentation?

The Virtual Guest Speaker or Expert Agreement is intended to be used by the host of an online event, course, or membership. It was drafted in collaboration with DEI consultants Erica Courdae and India Jackson of Pause on the Play, and includes terms to protect the diversity, equity, and inclusion principles you’ve worked so hard to foster for your event or business.
